I saw some of the work on the xbox. And I had a few questions.
Yes, but it's been quite a while since I dealt with the Xbox. But by all means, fire away.
I am trying to run my Xbox with no dvd drive. Can it be done using the voltages from the psu?
Or could I use a laptop dvd drive in its place?
I havn't seen much on the topic I don't want to run original Xbox games
Yes, you can easily put any DVD-ROM drive into an Xbox and use it, you just have to wire it to the connector on the motherboard where the yellow DVD cable usually goes. I think the Xbox page explains the pinout for it, and there are other resources online (I think the Xbox-Linux wiki has a page on it, or at least it used to) explaining how to do it (with the assumption that you don't need to play original Xbox games, which you don't).
